Women in the Halls, a special project of Planned Parenthood Action Fund of Georgia, seeks to bring more women to the state Capitol during the annual legislative session. Often, lawmakers overlook our concerns, and the resulting public policies can be disastrous for the women of Georgia. The presence of Women in the Halls will remind lawmakers that they are accountable to the women of Georgia for the decisions that they make.
Your involvement, your voice, and especially your personal visits make such a difference at the Capitol, we really count on your help! To see our 2009 Pre-Session Report click here.
The 2009 session will begin January 12th and will run through the beginning of April. We look forward to seeing you for this year's Women in the Halls program. Stay tuned to the website for more ways to get involved in our electoral activities.
Women in the Halls meets every WEDNESDAY during the legislative session at 9am in the Coverdell Legislative Office Building, Room 306 which is located across the street from the Capitol on Mitchell Street. Your help will be needed next year at the Capitol as we battle more attempts to curtail women's rights. Contact Nikema.Williams@ppfa.org or 404.688.9305 ext. 310 for more details.

WE'LL SHOW YOU HOW!
The Planned Parenthood Action Fund of Georgia is the advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood of Georgia and engages electoral activities including voter education and mobilization. We believe elected officials should support policies and programs that help women and their families make responsible choices about the prevention of unintended pregnancies and plan for healthy families. The Planned Parenthood Action Fund of Georgia works to educate and mobilize the public and elect lawmakers who support these policies.
